Our exhibits tell the (whole) story.

The Carver Museum features a Social Progress Heroes Timeline, which highlights the contributions African-Americans have made over the centuries that have helped make America what it is today. The timeline is the culmination of two permanent exhibits: “Designing the World We Live In” and “Black Scientists, Inventors, and Explorers,” as well as our Carver Room (which is dedicated to the achievements of Dr. George Washington Carver). We also feature temporary exhibitions from both local and national artists. Our goal is to bring history to life, and we hope that you will join us for a visit soon!

"The Carver is truly a magical place. Going there gave my child a chance to see his heritage in a whole new light. He was finally able to see himself in the greater story of humanity." — A. Holt
